Our main aim is that our students can really communicate in French with
fluency, accuracy and good pronunciation. All aspects of the language are worthy
of attention but we place special emphasis on the natural use of French and on
encouraging our students to communicate with confidence and independence. All
of our teachers are native and highly
qualified. We
form homogenous groups of students according to our level
system.
TERMLY COURSES
We
offer courses of 3 and 6 hours per week between 8am and 9.30pm and
3 hour courses on Friday evenings or on Saturday mornings. All groups
have a maximum
of 10 students.
CONVERSATION COURSES
Our 3 hours a week conversation courses have a maximum of eight students per
group. The teachers prepare a series of activities according to the needs, level
and interests of each group with the aim of encouraging the active participation
of all the students.
SUMMER COURSES
During
the summer months we offer Intensive Courses and Conversation Classes. The
intensive courses are ideal for those who need
to make faster progress or take advantage of their summer holiday to make
a jump forward in their level of French. The morning classes are 2½ hours
a
day
from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 12:00, whilst the afternoon classes are
3 hours
a
day
from
Monday
to Thursday from 18:30 to 21:30.
We also offer conversation classes for low levels, geared to specifically
help you acquire the necessary knowledge and fluency to confidently
speak and understand basic everyday French conversation, for instance
while on
holiday. These classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays or on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:30 to 18:00. For more intensive study,
students can
enrol for 4 days a week.

CLOSED COURSES
Either in one-to-one classes or groups made up of personnel from the same company,
these courses can be made-to-measure to the specific needs of the client, taking
into account the recommendations of Hyland Language Centre.
These courses are adjusted to the client's requirements of length, frequency,
timetable and location of the classes.
"OPEN" COURSES
The personnel of the company join existing groups in our centre. We offer
general, conversation and specific needs courses all year round.
PROGRESS AND ATTENDANCE REPORTS
Hyland Language Centre provides training managers with monthly attendance reports
and progress reports at the end of every term and course.
To measure the progress of each student we use the Hyland Language Centre level
system and the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in
Europe) framework.
The ALTE framework is a system of five levels which correspond in general terms
with the Council of Europe Reference Framework levels.
The "Can do" statements are part of a long-term project
carried out
by the Association
of Language Testers in Europe. An important aspect of the "Can do" statements
is that they are multi-lingual.
